Funerals of Compassion has over the years arranged, organised and conducted many Hindu funerals. As is with all the funerals we conduct, care, respect and the wishes of the family are adhered to. Each funeral is personally planned, by one of our experienced staff, who will help you with all the Hindu cultural observations. We will assist the family's in ensuring they add their own individual touches, making sure the family is completely satisfied and has a funeral service that celebrates and honours their loved ones life.
Our staff can also advise you on the different crematoriums that can cater for the Hindu religion and the facilities they can offer. We are able to advise family's about the witness Insertion process at the various crematoriums and facilities for any post wake activities the family may want to arrange. If a weekend service is something you wish to consider, talk to our staff that will be able to tell you at what locations this can be done.
Our New south Wales Government accredited mortuary is available for family's who in Hindu tradition wish to wash their loved and dress them in keeping with Hindu customs. Usually Hindu's are cremated in traditional clothes' Dhotis and Anga vastras for men and Saris for women. Once the body is washed and dressed, a garland of flowers can be placed around the neck, a tilak applied to the forehead, a tulasi leaf is usually placed in the mouth. At all times our funeral arrangers and mortuary staff will be on hand to assist you with preparing your loved and even when it may seem a bit stressful for you a our staff will just give you shoulder and support when you need it most. At funerals of Compassion our objective is to be an extension of your family and a friend when you need it most.
